Connected in the network
Each hardware unit’s physical network connections are documented. With this information you can easily get a graphical overview of how the hardware units are physically connected in the network, making troubleshooting a lot easier. This information may also be used by the provisioning system to find the shortest route from one unit to another.
Customer registry
■ The customer registry is completely integrated with the case-, financial-, monitoring- and provisioning system. Customer support and technicians are using a common platform where everyone can see what has been done and by who.
Automated provisioning
■ To make the task of administering the network and customer system when connecting a customer easy, NETadmin has services to automate the whole process. The process can actually be made so easy in certain network environments that the customer just plugs their cable in, is redirected to an automated web page where they can fill out their own information and then gets connected right away after the information is confirmed. The whole system can be made to work without any involvement needed from customer service or technical staff. This is, of course, also seamlessly integrated into the NETadmin user interface. |
