Chelsea Children's Hospital School Network is based across 4 four separate hospital sites in west London. With help from Imperial College, we will be using 1x Juniper Networks NetScreen-25 integrated firewall/VPN device plus 4 x Juniper Networks NetScreen-5GT devices to link our 4 four school sites together securely on a single Internet domain. This will enable pupils and staff to have a single login across the whole school, centralising resources and enabling them to access their work easily from any school location – but without the threat of hackers and other unwanted attacks.
We will also be using video conferencing over IP to enable pupils in isolation to link up with lessons in the hospital school classroom, and also with their home schools.
